Special Education and Services
We know how difficult and challenging it can be to find the resources and information to help your special needs child. Here at Capitan Municipal Schools, we have specially trained staff and faculty members to help guide you through the myriad of regulations, paper work, and complex jargon, so that you can take full advantage of your child’s rights to services.
We provide services to all students within our district who present with disabilities or who qualify for services under the definition for developmental delays. Please do not hesitate to talk with us for answers to your questions or if you feel your child should be receiving services.
If you know of a child who may have developmental delays or a disability that may benefit from or need special education and/or related services, please contact our Special Services office at (575) 354.8516. This program is for those with disabilities from birth through 21 years old. You do not need to be related to the child to refer him or her to our office.
