Following interviews with outstanding semifinalists for the superintendent position at Capitan Municipal Schools, the following candidates were selected as finalists to participate in various focus groups and interviews with the board of education:
- Jeff Gephart
- Heather Gutierrez
- John Sandoval
On April 27, the finalists will have an opportunity to participate in a staff/administration focus group interview in Traylor Gym at 4:30 p.m. and in a community forum in Traylor Gym at 6:00 p.m. On April 28, the finalists will engage in a student focus group interview in the CHS Media Center at 1:00 p.m. At 5:30 p.m. on April 28, the board will have finalist interviews in a closed session to determine who will lead the district, beginning no later than July 1, 2026.
